Made from natural vine or compressed charcoal, these sticks produce rich, velvety blacks and an unmatched range of mid-tones that are simply impossible to achieve with graphite alone. The soft powdery texture allows for broad sweeping marks as well as finer details when used on an edge or sharpened with sandpaper. Charcoal blends effortlessly with a fingertip, blending stump, or chamois cloth, making it ideal for atmospheric landscapes, dynamic figure studies, and dramatic portrait work. It erases cleanly with a kneaded eraser, allowing for additive and subtractive drawing techniques within the same piece. Each pack contains 12 sticks of uniform quality.
